Wild Yam: Dioscorea villosa (L.)
About Wild Yam: Do not confuse wild yam (D. villosa) with the cultivated garden yam, a very different species known as Oxalis tuberose. Wild yam is a climbing plant that supports itself by twining around the branches of other plants. The plants produce tubercles (small tubers that are formed in the leaf axils of the stems), and can be propagated by this means.

This herb is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and grown without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides.
