Marjoram Essential Oil Organic

$16.65

Marjoram: Origanum majorana (L.)

Why Marjoram? There is an ancient tale of the Greek goddess Aphrodite gathering marjoram for her wounded son, Aeneas. Her touch is said to have given the marjoram herb its uplifting and herbaceous aroma. Marjoram essential oil is often used as a seasoning in spice compounds, meats, sauces, canned foods, and vinegar. It is also used as an addition to soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Quality Assured: Our organic marjoram essential oil is responsibly sourced from Egypt. The essential oil is steam distilled from the fresh and dried flowering marjoram herb, which includes the leaves, stalks, and flowering heads. Every batch of oil is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and produced without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. Additionally, our expert aromatherapists here at the Apothecary Shoppe personally assess all of our oils—using touch, taste, smell, and lab analyses—to ensure that your essential oil is suitable for use and entirely free of adulterants.

Independent third-party lab reports including GC/MS and pesticide testing results are available upon request. Please send a request to  apothecary@achs.edu and include the essential oil Latin name and lot number; results include a comparative analysis with ISO and the Pharmacopeia when available.
