Formula:
CALMING HERBAL FORMULA:
Yarrow Achillea millefolium: 1/2 ounce
Chamomile Matricaria recutita (German) or Chamaemelum nobile (Roman): 1/2 ounce
Lemon balm Melissa officinalis: 1/4 ounce
Peppermint Mentha xpiperita: 1/4 ounce
Water: 3/4 pint
Mix herbs and prepare as an infusion.
Place your herbs into a ceramic or glass teapot. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Do not use an aluminum saucepan. An electric kettle or kettle on the stove is fine.
Turn off the heat and pour the water over the herb.
Cover the teapot and let steep for 10-12 minutes.
Strain the tea in a non-aluminum strainer and use for your recipe. Store for no more than 24 hours in the refrigerator.
Use 2-4 tablespoons as necessary.
