Cistus: Cistus ladaniferus (L.)
Why cistus? Reminiscent of the fragrance of an herb garden after a spring rainstorm, this lovely essential oil has a warm, sweet, and dry-herbaceous aroma (similar to Roman chamomile). With a classic amber-like fragrance, cistus aromatherapy essential oil is ideal for perfumery. It is used often in cosmetics and soaps, frequently with lavender.
Quality Assured: Our organic cistus essential oil is sustainably gathered from wild stems and leaves in Spain. Cistus essential oil is steam distilled from fresh stems and leaves of the cistus plant. Every batch of oil is Certified Organic by Oregon Tilth and produced without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. Additionally, our expert aromatherapists here at the Apothecary Shoppe personally assess all of our oils—using touch, taste, smell, and lab analyses—to ensure that your essential oil is suitable for use and entirely free of adulterants.
