Quality Assured: Our organically grown and pesticide-free cypress essential oil is responsibly sourced from Spain. The essential oil is steam distilled from the pruned branches with leaves. Every batch of oil is produced without the use of genetic engineering, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. Additionally, our expert aromatherapists here at the Apothecary Shoppe personally assess all of our oils—using touch, taste, smell, and lab analyses—to ensure that your essential oil is suitable for use and entirely free of adulterants.

Perfumery: The woodsy aroma of cypress essential oil is reminiscent of a fresh evergreen forest. Cypress is a mild base note with a sweet, balsamic aroma. It has a tenacious delicate and sweet dry out note. It is sometimes used to modify pine blends.
Oils That Blend Well With Cypress: The forest-like and uplifting aroma of cypress blends well with benzoin Styrax benzoin (Dryand.), chamomile (Roman) Chamaemelum nobile (L.) All., clary sage Salvia sclarea (L.), lavender Lavandula angustifolia (Mill.), and mandarin Citrus reticulata (Blanco).
Regulatory Status: Cypress essential oil is not listed on the FDA Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) list.

AFTER-EXERCISE COMPRESS:
Cypress Cupressus sempervirens var. stricta (L.) oil: 12-drops
Juniper Juniperus communis (L.) oil: 9-drops
Lemon Citrus limonum (Risso) oil: 9-drops
Directions: Blend the oils and store in an amber bottle. Mix 10-drops into 2-cups of ice-cold water and apply the compress. Change the compress when it becomes warm.
