Cautions and Contraindications: Cleavers is considered safe when used appropriately. There is some suggestion that diabetics should use the juice with caution. It has also been suggested that due to the lack of toxicological and pharmacological data, use during pregnancy should be avoided.
Formula:
CLEAVERS TEA
Cleavers Galium aparine (dried or fresh herb): 1 ounce
Dandelion Taraxacum officinale (dried or fresh leaves): 1 ounce
Purified water: 1 pint
If using fresh herbs, use two ounces of each and rinse them first. Put both herbs in a teapot and pour over the boiled water. Steep for 10 minutes and drink throughout the day. You can even add this to your water bottle and top up with filtered water.
